Complete our foster application so we can learn about your home, experience, and what types of pets you’re comfortable fostering.

 

2. Application Review
Our team of independent rescuer partners will review your information and connect with you if they have any questions or need clarification.

 

3. Home Check (Virtual or In-Person)
The independent rescuer who is responsible for the pet you'd like to foster will do a quick home check — usually by video call or photos.

 

4. Foster Match
Based on your preferences and experience, we’ll match you with a dog or cat in need. You’re never obligated to take an animal that isn’t the right fit.

 

5. Meet & Prepare
The independent rescuer who is currently responsible for your new foster will arrange pickup and make sure you have the supplies and information you need.

 

6. Welcome Your Foster!
Your foster pet arrives at your home to decompress, settle in, and begin their journey to finding a forever family.

 

7. Ongoing Support
Throughout the foster period, the independent rescuer who connected you with your foster is here to help with vetting coordination, behavioral guidance, and marketing support to help your foster get adopted.

 

8. Adoption Day!
Once an adopter is approved by the independent rescuer, you may help with the meet-and-greet or transition. Then it’s time to celebrate — you helped save a life!
